Interview: Slow food with Angelica
Angelica is a food writer who bakes, runs a food blog and organises food workshops. She likes that food comes from passion, knowledge and respect. I believe food is a language we all speak. Just like language, it is a way for humans to define our relationships with ourselves, others and the world.
“Our families and communities are built around food”
“I hope we don’t land up living on pills in the future. It would be dehumanising. There are so many good stories.”
“It gives me the right rhythm. It’s a matter of organisation and discipline. It’s like a spiritual and mental training.”
“I have to align with the rhythm of the starter – it has it’s own rhythm. It’s also related to the environment – I have to adjust to the temperature and humidity of the air. I have to be very aware.”
“It engages all my senses. It feels more human to take time to do these things.”
